How to be apart of this campaign?

This fall, 2011, we are launching the campaign with hopes it will catch on by our community, enabling it to repeat in 2012 and growing twice its size with regard to people and business working together to:

  • Help launch the campaign – marketing
  • Help purchase and display pumpkin – sales
  • Help provide materials – in-kind donations
  • Help design – volunteer time

Our Vision

That everyone, everywhere lives well: gets informed, gets involved, gets healthy. We want no “one” to be alone, to slip through the cracks, to loose their health due to what is preventable.

How does “talking about pumpkins” help?

We all have a story! We all know someone with cancer and this disease threatens all of us. We all face poverty, we see it on the street, we read it in the paper and many of us know a child who lives in poverty. This campaign “Let’s Talk About Pumpkins” not only raises funds for two organisations doing amazing things. This campaign gives everyone a voice.

Together we talk, we tell our story, we share it so often that we are reminded of what we can do, not what we can’t. Together we can help, each time we see the design of a flower arrangement in the shell of a pumpkin, tell someone what it represents “for me” or “for you,”  until it means that for everyone…

Prevention!

~We want to raise awareness for the prevention of child poverty and Cancer.

Our Goal:

This year our goal is to sell 250 pumpkins arrangements to businesses and members in our community.

How we campaign for our charities?

  • We make donations – Our Pumpkin Arrangements cost $55 each with $10 going toward your choice of our designated charities. To order click HERE
  • We tell our story – Click HERE to hear my story.

Prevention is possible if we work together.
Together we can make this happen.
