Who is already involved?

There are many people and businesses who play a role in prevention and have helped through out his campaign.

Over 25 businesses and individuals responded to a single seed of inspiration, collectively recognizing that “together is better.” Petals n Buds, Koshman Florists ltd. would like to highlight the involvement of businesses and individuals in Victoria specifically those who worked together: Michells Farm, Market on Millstream , Sweet Factory, Flatsphere Design, Shaw Cable, Halo Networking, TD Canada Trust, Strathcona Hotel Victoria, Ramada Victoria, Bon Rouge French Bistro Restaurant, Deco de Mode Nail Spa. These businesses along with numerous individuals donated product, volunteered their skills, or bought and displayed flower arrangements in the shell of pumpkins over October in order to remind us there is something new we must know, something to do, and a way to get involved in the solution for ourselves and others. The total amount raised will be split evenly between two very special organizations doing amazing things: The Mustard Seed going toward the development of the new Family Center http://mustardseed.ca/ and the BC Cancer Foundation for prevention testing http://bccancerfoundation.com/.

Let’s Talk About Pumpkins! 2011 has been Petals n Buds pilot community awareness campaign that reaches out to everyone because cancer doesn’t know prejudice and poverty threatens us all. Together we can help, each time we see the design of a flower arrangement in the shell of a pumpkin, let it remind us to be active, be involved and be informed and tell someone else the meaning behind the design. …Please take a look at the pumpkin arrangements designed this year, and the photographs of those who bought them at www.petalsnbuds.ca. Thanks Victoria 2011 for being the foundation of this campaign for years to come. Let’s Talk About Pumpkins in 2012!
