We believe many strong organizations such as The Royal Canadian Legion, play a key role in building happy and healthy communities. Petals n Buds has chosen to support the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign.
Annually the Royal Canadian Legion launches the Poppy Campaign which serves to remind and teach every generation, “…great effort and sacrifice is required so that we live and lead happier healthier lives.” Countries are in constant battle for peace and Canadian troops fight on behalf of this peace every day oversees. The association of the Poppy and peace has significant meaning dating back to the Napoleonic Wars in the 19th century where Poppies grew over the graves of soldiers in the area of Flanders, France. The visual campaign orchestrated by The Royal Canadian Legion has kept the meaning and memory alive for over hundreds of years.
Tara Koshman, proud Associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, President and Creative Director of Petals n Buds purchase hundreds of poppies each year to attach to each product it sells in- store and through table-side sales for the 11 days leading up to November 11th Remembrance Day.
