Job Overview:

This is a privileged service where Petals n Bud’s staff works alongside popular businesses in the restaurant and entertainment industry, with the spirit of hospitality, carrying flowers table-side and selling to patrons on a cash and carry basis.

1. Must have your own vehicle.
2. Must be professional, polite, and reliable.
3. Must be approachable, sociable, and confident.
4. Must be self-motivated and business minded, and honest.

Detailed Work Activities:

The table-side delivery job description may change from business to business, since the working environment and company rules differ. But the basic duties remain the same in all the environments.

• Be professional and considerate with every staff and doorman.
• Be observant of the business you are entering, watch to see if the customers need anything. Body language lets you know when they are open.
• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying themselves.
• Listen and make recommendations in case the customer asks.
• Receive customer orders, and sell merchandise.
• Take pictures when appropriate (always ask).
• Collect payment
• Inform customers about the care, maintenance, and handling of various flowers
• Distinguish between flowers and meanings of colors
• Consult with customers concerning needs and follow customer instructions

Tasks include:

1. Water, cut, condition, and clean flowers and foliage
2. Wrap or design products where necessary
3. Clean rooms or work areas as necessary
4. Drive and deliver table-side weekly
5. Balance cash-out at the end of shift.
6. Attend meetings

The following knowledge is necessary:

There are no special educational requirements for becoming a table-side sales and delivery person. Good arithmetic skills, pleasant appearance, good observation skills, physically fit, friendly nature, etc., are some of the basic requirements.

Must know how to handle uncooperative customers properly without causing any trouble.

Starting Wage:                                                       Base + commission

Hours/Week:                                                           4 – 10 hrs week

Licenses:                                                                  Class 5 BC Drivers License
